# Keystone Habits

A keystone habit is a habit that acts as the foundation for many aspects of our lives. When that habit changes, usually we will see other things in our life begin to change, almost effortlessly, in a sort of cascading effect. The canonical example is going to the gym. People who start a new gym habit tend to eat more healthily, perform better at work, be more organized, and feel happier overall. This one habit has a sort of trickle down effect that starts to touch every other aspect of our lives.
So a main takeaway is to attempt to identify my keystone habits and try to optimize them as best I can. My major keystone habits are:
1. The gym
2. Anki
